Get More Renters. Work Less.

What should I make sure my housekeeper doesn't miss?

I just hired a housekeeper for my vacation rental. What items should I make sure they clean regularly?

The short answer to this question is "everything visible". Curb appeal (what people can see of your home's outside from the curb) is an important draw. The basics also must be kept in tidy shape. Floors and other visible surface areas should be swept and dusted before a traveler arrives. Check all the lightbulbs to ensure none have burnt out. Less visible issues, such as cleaning furnace filters washing blankets and sheets, can be done less frequently than surface sweeping but still on a regular basis, and always in between renters.
