Get More Renters. Work Less.

I'm trying to fill a vacancy for a last-minute cancellation and the traveler asked for a discount. What should I do?

Another traveler canceled at the last minute and I've got another traveler to fill the space, but they want a discount.

If you've received an offer from a traveler looking for rental homes with a discount, and you've just received a cancellation, consider their offer. Stay firm in negotiating a price that still makes sense for you -- there is a certain number that you can't drop below, in order to pay for utilities and maintenance -- but accept that it's your choice to either not making any money for that period of time, or at least make a little bit. Don't make a habit of accepting negotiated discounts, but in the event of cancellations it's understandable.
