Get More Renters. Work Less.

I use a property manager, but I'd like to do more of my vacation rental marketing. Where should I start?

Do I need to do it all myself or can I just do some things that I'm good at?

You can definitely stick to just the things you're good at--that is, if you're sure you're good at them.
There are three areas in which you might need to hire a professional: photography, written copy and visual design. If you're experienced in any single one, there's no need to spend the extra money on hiring someone to do it for you.

Just be sure to ask yourself a few questions first: Who really has the most experience? After factoring in time, how much money are you saving? And, perhaps most importantly, what's the worst that can happen? If you map out a timeline and examine the risks, you may find that burdening yourself with extra work may be a more expensive option in non-monetary ways.
