Get More Renters. Work Less.

I just went paperless for my vacation rental business, but how do I make sure I don't lose any important data?

What are important steps I should take to make sure I don't lose any data?

When making the jump to paperless, the most important action you can take is to back up your data. Buy an external harddrive or large USB key if you want a more private method of security -- this option is also nice for those still wary of paperless record-keeping, because you can still hold a tangible thing in your hands.

Otherwise, online cloud storage is a proven safe and reliable method of file keeping, and allow you to log in from any computer in the world.

Also make sure to sort and name your files logically, so if you need to do a quick search to find an old record, you don't need to ply through dozens of obscurely named Excel files.
