How should I stage my home for the day of arrival?

Besides just having a clean property, what should I do to make sure guests have the best first impression when they arrive?

There is a myriad of ways that experiences leave a lasting impression on our minds. It’s not just about keeping a place clean: you want to meet their expectations. Keep groceries stocked and furniture properly organized (don’t deviate too much from your photos); you want to have invested in quality linens and towels before they arrive; you can even leave a personalized letter or fresh flowers awaiting them near the front door.

As a general tip, think about what kind of a home you’d like to arrive in. Assuage any fears they might have that the property doesn't live up to expectations, and make them want to come back.
