Does newspaper or radio advertising make sense for my business?

It seems very expensive, but I wonder if it will help me get more renters to my vacation rental?

Media ads do work, but unless you're able to afford it, the cost of a radio or TV spot will most likely not justify any increase in business. You need to reach a very particular clientele, and you can't just cross your fingers and hope they'll be watching or listening to your ad the few times you can afford to have it played. Print or online ads, though, can be targeted more precisely, by way of niche magazines or blogs. Think of who will most enjoy your home (hikers? Surfers? Bird-watchers?) and find a way to reach them, rather than casting a wide net across the radiowaves.
